My Philosophy

This is the geeky part where you get to read about the nitty gritty of my practice, my qualifications, how I work, and the values I endeavour to hold.

Professional Practice

After several years of working in the space of women’s health and chronic pain, I came to see that an integrative, holistic and systemic approach was required for this work because each client and group is so different.

I have taken many trainings to support this work, which is grounded in the science of the nervous system and the endocrine system. I bring a polyvagal and person-centered approach to my practice. I am trauma-informed, trauma trained, and am influenced by recovery models, contemplative spirituality as well as thought work coaching.

Additionally, I integrate psychodynamic, systemic, anti-oppressive and inclusive feminist lenses into my practice, and often consider the theory of group dynamics. These lenses offer very powerful perspectives to consider when working with people and the way they relate in the world.

I am committed to actively engaging in personal and professional reflection, and I take part in monthly individual and group professional supervision to hold my practice in integrity. Integrity is very important to me and is probably the most important value I aim to work from.

I bring a gentle but powerful approach to my practice as a coach, always returning to the values of compassion, integrity, accountability, personal responsibility and aligned action.

My Background

I have worked with individuals, groups and organisations all over the world. Most of my work now is online via Zoom but I have also facilitated in-person workshops in Ireland, and remain open to invitations to facilitate these again.

The majority of my experience has been with women requiring support around their menstrual cycle. I have now opened my practice to work with all individuals looking for a somatic and trauma-informed approach for all forms of chronic pain, trauma, relationships and for their professional development.
